FIRE SAFETY AUDIT

FIRE RISK ASSESSMENT

We deliver comprehensive fire risk assessments to evaluate all active and passive fire safety provisions within your property. Our third-party accredited professional team operates under the strict competency guidelines of BS 8674:2025. This ensures your assigned assessor holds a verified, tier-matched qualification—Foundation, Intermediate, or Advanced—specifically aligned to the architectural layout, occupancy, and risk profile of your building.

OCCUPANCY CALCULATIONS

We can calculate the occupancy capacity for your venue or event and incorporate this into your Fire Risk Assessment, using our knowledge of the building regulations and human behaviour.

DSEAR ASSESSMENT

Compex qualified and experienced in working in dangerous atmospheres our assessors will work with you and the relevant industry experts to formulate a management plan to assess and deal with any areas that are identified as hazardous. We will establish hazard zoning plans and safety measures to follow.

PERSONAL EMERGENCY EVACUATION PLAN

A PEEP may be needed for someone with an impairment or disability which will impede their ability to recognise and respond to an emergency. These can be temporary, and the plan must not rely on the Fire and Rescue Service intervention.

FIRE COMPARTMENTATION SURVEYS & External Walls (FRAEWs)

As part of your comprehensive fire risk assessment an inspection of the overall condition of the existing fire compartmentation will be carried out.

FIRE STRATEGY REPORT

The reports will contain the fire strategy and review compliance of the architectural floor plans, sections, elevations and site plan. This will demonstrate compliance of these aspects in accordance with the functional requirements of Part B of the Building Regulations.

Fire Door Inspections

Fire doors are life safety systems and form a vital part of a building’s passive fire protection system. They prevent the flow of smoke and fire and help compartmentalise a building to provide a safe means of escape for its occupants. They are essential in all buildings and must be regularly inspected, tested and maintained to meet the requirements of article 17 of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety Order) 2005.
